The diesel generator radiator is used to cool the diesel engine to ensure that there is no overheating alarm. The radiator is rotated by a fan, either through an electric motor or through a series of pulleys and straps, from the crankshaft of the engine.

1. Check the appearance of the radiator

1) First, rinse the radiator core with water to remove surface dust. If there is oil stains, clean it with gasoline. Further external inspection of the radiator's upper and lower chambers, as well as the core, should be carried out to ensure that there is no leakage, the radiator frame should not break, and it should not be desoldered. If there are debris embedded in the core of the radiator, it can be cleaned with fine steel wire. If there is any lodging phenomenon, it should be straightened. If there is any twisting or deformation of the radiator fins, the radiator should be repaired.

2) Check if the radiator is secure. The heat sink should be tightened and reliable, with no looseness when shaking back and forth. The distance between the heat sink and the blades of the water pump fan should be maintained appropriately.

3) Check if there is any air leakage or blockage in the connecting pipe of the replenishment tank. If any air leakage or blockage is found, it should be eliminated to prevent the coolant in the replenishment tank from flowing back into the radiator.

2. Cleaning the radiator

When repairing internal combustion engines, it is necessary to clean the radiator and remove scale from it. Firstly, disassemble the thermostat, add special cleaning agent and water to the cooling system, run the diesel engine for 20 minutes, wait for cooling, and then discharge the water and cleaning agent. Then, direct the water flow from the hose into the radiator to flush out loose scale. At the same time, backwashing should also be carried out, which means that water will flush the radiator in the opposite direction under pressure.

Cleaning the radiator can also be done by disassembling the radiator and placing it in a washer for cleaning: adding 3% -5% sodium carbonate aqueous solution to the washer and heating it to 80-90 ℃; After placing the radiator in the washer for 5-8 hours, remove it and then place it in a warm water tank for cleaning.

3. Check the radiator

1) Check if the radiator is cracked: Place the radiator in the sink and inject compressed air pressure of 0.1MPa through the water inlet (blocking other holes) of the radiator. If there are bubbles outside the radiator, it indicates that there are bubbles outside the radiator, indicating severe corrosion. If there are not many areas of gas leakage, it indicates that it is not serious. You can find the leakage point in the gas leakage area and mark it (as shown in the figure) for welding repair or other methods of repair.

2) Check the internal blockage of the radiator: Based on the amount of water injected into the radiator, it can be determined whether the radiator core is clogged or blocked. If there is any blockage, it should be cleaned.
